Outer Banks Photo Contest Sponsored by The Village Realty People
Nags Head, NC (PRWEB) November 13, 2009 -- Anh Do of Vienna, Va. was named the Grand Prize Winner of the 2009 Outer Banks Photo Contest sponsored by Village Realty and he was awarded a free off-season week in a Village Realty property .
The image of Do’s son Nathan flying the kite truly captures that sand between the toes feeling of an Outer Banks vacation.

According to Jeannie Maynard of Village Realty, the contest reflected how much fun vacationers have while spending time on the Outer Banks.
“With over 1,600 entries, and many, many great photos, it was hard to narrow it down to semi-finalists and then finalists,” she said. “With the help of three local photographers, we were able to get it down to seven finalists.
“Then, we asked our reservation staff to choose the winner,” Maynard said. "It was very close right down to the deadline."
Another exciting image was taken of a young girl getting a ride on a clean and green breaking wave. Doug Grant of Richmond, Va. stood in the surf zone to photograph his daughter Gracie with her mouth wide open.
Grant won a free, two-night stay at a Village Realty property during the off season.
There were five additional finalists. Each will receive a $100 gift certificate to use any time toward a stay in any Village Realty property. And, they will also receive a second $100 gift certificate to give to a friend to use.
“The photos were amazing -- from funny to romantic to fun and touching,” Maynard said. “Some were about people, places and the sheer beauty of the Outer Banks. "We looked forward to seeing the entries every day."
Thanks to everyone who participated,” she said. “We will be holding another contest in 2010 and look forward to seeing more creative expressions of our guests’ visits to the Outer Banks." There is no purchase necessary to enter and you do not have to be a guest of Village Realty to submit a photo or photos.
